Ministry of W.O.M.A.N.
(Women of Meekness and Nobility)
By Mother Prophetess F. Harris, PhD
Since the beginning of time, the enemy has planned to rob the man of his glory. Please get your Bible and read along with me. Turn to 1st Corinthians 11:7c: "But the woman is the glory of the man."
Glory in this passage of scripture is defined in the (S.C.) as dignity, honor, and praise. We are the man's dignity, honor, and praise. A lot of men think that they can move forward in life and be all that they can be without the woman the Lord has ordained for them, but this is not so because the man needs his glory to go to his destiny with him. In the (MWCD), glory also means: something that secures praise; a distinguished quality or asset; great beauty or splendor. So we are a distinguished quality and asset of the man.
In the (AHD), dignity means: bearing conduct or speech indicative of self-respect. Meaning: the woman is his dignity, we bear conduct or speech that earns self respect, not only to ourselves, but to the man. And I’m not talking about just any man, but I’m talking about your man, the man the Lord has ordained for you to be married to. For example: If a woman is married and she is not physically keeping herself up or if she is not keeping herself looking good, as women we can easily see that she is not happy. We immediately think: "Surely something must be wrong with her husband, especially if he is always looking good and proclaiming that he loves his wife." As the woman, you are or will be a reflection of who he REALLY is.
In the (AHD) honor means a source of credit or distinction. So when people see the woman, they should see the man she is married to, even if he is not present. In the (MWCD) honor means one’s who worth brings respect and fame. This fame indicates that you are not going to bring shame on your husband’s family name, even according to Proverbs 31:11-12 which reads regarding the virtuous woman, “The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.”
In the (AHD) praise means the state of being approved or admired. In other words, we are his excellence, which in the (MWCD) is an outstanding, valuable quality. The man is nothing without the woman. Since we are the man’s glory, then our state spiritually and naturally directly affects the man of God’s ability to prosper spiritually and naturally.
Definitions from the (MWCD) that you should know for this teaching:
The Lord loves you so much that he desires to unveil the enemy’s plan and deliver you so you can operate in the state of purity that he originally ordained. However, some women have been abused from their youth and have not received deliverance because they are ashamed to deal with what happened to them.
If the things you have experienced in your childhood continue to follow you, it means you have been traumatized. Many women don’t realize that it is not their fault that they are unable to move forward in life. Have you ever tried to move forward and you felt like you kept hitting a wall? Are you unable to finish what you start? Do you think it’s you, but you can’t determine what it is? Do other people tell you that it’s you and proceed to say all kinds of things about you? Have you kept your experience a secret and no one really knows why you are in the state that you are in? If so, the Lord can help.
Because of all kinds of abuses, some women have been hindered from truly having a relationship with Christ. Have you ever said: Why is it that I can’t pray? I really desire to be saved, but I just can’t. Why can’t I go into high worship and prophesy like so and so? This hindrance is actually the affects of a traumatic past of various kinds of abuse.
The average Christian woman thinks that the Lord is only concerned with men in the Body of Christ, but this is far from the truth. Sometimes you may feel like the Lord doesn’t care about you. I hear you saying, “Lord you don’t care. You don’t care what I’m going through. Why am I in this situation? If you care, when are you going to get me out of this situation? I hear you are a deliverer, your servants say all these wonderful things about you, but I can’t see it.”
But the Lord is saying you are his handmaidens and you are precious to him and he is concerned about you and what you are going through, even those things that you don’t know he’s concerned about. He’s not unfamiliar with your pain. He sees what you are going through. Every time you shed a tear the Lord knows about it. He has seen women hurt by the enemy for ages and he has always done something about their situation and their pain.
Let’s actually look at some examples in scripture so you can see for yourself that the Lord avenged the women that were wronged by others.
Do you remember Jacob’s daughter Dinah? In Genesis 34:1-31, Dinah was taken hostage and defiled by Shechem, a prince of the Hivite’s, an enemy nation to the children of Israel. By the time her father and brothers found out what happened, the prince had conjured a plan to marry her because he had a soul tie with her. Even though his soul clave unto her, Shechem didn’t understand that the God of heaven and earth had commanded the children of Israel not marry people of other nations. The results of what happened to Dinah are still the responses humans have today when their daughters are defiled.
In 2nd Samuel 13, Tamar was raped by her half brother Amnon and her full blood brother avenged her.
In Judges, chapters 19 & 20, there is a story about a Levite and his concubine. While they were traveling, she was raped by several devilish men to the point where she died. Think about her situation:
What should we do in the future and what should we teach our daughters? In Deuteronomy 22:23-27, the Lord expects us to cry out for help! We should not be afraid of yelling, kicking, or telling someone if we have to. And we should also teach our children to cry out for help. Ask them if someone has touched them in the secret places, and teach them to be private about themselves. Don’t just allow someone to abuse you, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind,”2 Timothy 1:7.
And if you are in a situation where you can’t cry out for man to help, cry out to God who is a very present help in a time of trouble, Psalm 46:1. In God’s eyes, rape is the same as murder because the person the Lord originally intended for that woman to be will not be the same.
Deliverance:
Ephesians 6:12 – Ladies, you have to understand that in this world we are dealing with evils spirits who use willing vessels, especially those people which have spoken that they would like to have a particular person or who has said that a woman looks good to them. Anytime a person says that they like you, the adversary hears and a door is opened for the adversary to come in and use them, if we are not watchful and prayerful, even if it takes extreme violence for the person to get what they want. It takes a consecrated life before the Lord to keep us from becoming prey to the enemy’s plans.
Once you have been violated, doors are open in the spirit realm to keep the enemy using that situation to hinder you until you are destroyed: spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially. As long as you refuse to deal with what has happened, you keep the doors open to all the side effects of abuse and the enemy can keep you in a vicious cycle causing:
Our virginity is a part of our glory. It is to be celebrated! Tamar (& all of King David’s virgin daughters) wore diver’s colors until Amnon violated her. Our purity is valuable.
The enemy knows who you are when you’re born. Prayers have been spoken and prophecies foretold, generations back, about what the Lord was going to do in the earth through you. The enemy heard of the Lord’s plan to use you for his glory, so our adversary set in motion a plan to steal our purity. The whole purpose is to stop the purpose of God from going forth in our lives.
Think about it. The Word declares the woman’s hair is her glory. We know that beautiful hair is a sign of what’s on the inside: genetics & nutrition (diet, vitamins), but what we don’t consider is that a woman’s hair growth or lack of growth is affected by her purity and happiness. Just as stress, pain, anger, and illness can make your hair fall out, there are spiritual things also that can cause your hair to fall out. In essence, when you are bound by the enemy your glory departs.
When you deny what has happened to you the Lord can’t heal you. And the enemy’s plan continues to go forth in your life. The Lord reveals the truth to make you free not to embarrass you. Put a stop to the enemy’s plan in your life TODAY by confessing your hurt and pain to the Lord and allow him to heal you. And once you are delivered you will begin to prosper in the things you set your hands unto.
Isaiah 62:4-5 declares, "Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee."
