Steps to Repentance:
Firstly, the Lord requires all mankind to repent of their sins, according to Acts 2:38. Repentance is when you stop living your life your way and you start living your life the way Jesus Christ would have you to live it unto HIM. Immediately after repentance, you can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in the gift of Other Tongues, according to Acts 2:4 even before being baptized in water, yet you must still be baptized in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Mt. 3:13-17.
Secondly, Romans 10:9-10 instructs that if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart (Character) that God have raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Thirdly, Luke 10:20 declares, our names are then written in heaven (in the Lambs Book of Life, Revelation 20:15).
Now, Sincerely pray this prayer:
Abba Father in Heaven in the name of Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner, and I believe you sent your son Jesus Christ that I might have forgiveness of sins. I repent for my sins, and I confess the Lord Jesus with my mouth, and I believe in my heart that God hath raised him from the dead. Grant me the indwelling of the Holy Spirit with the gift of tongues, and I pray that you will write my name in the Lamb’s Book of life.
Congratulations, you are saved now!
Your journey with Jesus Christ has just begun. If you have sincerely prayed, you will not desire to return to your old way of life. The next step is to pray earnestly that the Lord Jesus lead you to a Ministry, of his choosing, where you must be water baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, where you can grow spiritually, fellowship with other saints, and discover what the Lord has purposed you to do.
This is ONLY the beginning of a New Life!
As the Apostle over this Ministry, the Holy Spirit shared with me that many people come to this same page and in Faith do precisely what is written above. They have in all sincerity repented of their sins and felt the physical presence of change come upon them immediately by the lightness which they felt, after the burden of sin was removed from their shoulders, even from their person, because the Lord Jesus has forgiven them of their sin. Yet, after all they have done in Faith, they remain in their mess? Their mess is the cursing/ drinking/ smoking/ doing drugs/ and all the sexual sins they can conjure up/ and create anew to please the flesh, including the hatred/ gossip, only to mention a few sins.
Why would anybody return to their old ways after being obedient to the very thing the Lord Jesus required of them to start a New Life! The Holy Spirit said these exact words to me during prayer that the answer would be they are too lazy to do the rest. The rest being asking the Lord Jesus exactly where they should attend a Ministry of the Lord's choosing, to learn how to pray, fast, read the Bible, live a Holy and acceptable life before him, and be faithful to the Lord Jesus just as he was faithful to you when he took your place in Hell. The question stands, are you going to fully accept the way out presented?
To build upon a relationship with Jesus himself to whom you have now given your very lives to without really taking time out to notice what indeed took place here. People have a misconception along with a misunderstanding that being forgiven of their sins is all there is to salvation. NO! The truth of this matter is: Consider a child entering into a school system for the very first time, whether it be kindergarten or grade school. The first thing which must take place is to register the child, and then the daily routine starts with the getting them up, dressed, and off to the location, you must take them to. Receiving salvation is just like the start to something new. There's a lot of work involved now to build a foundational relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ for yourself. It's TRULY all up to you, and nobody will /can force you to do what you should and must do.
You, as the confessor, must come to know that you made a binding eternal oral confession, (an Oral COVENANT) to the Almighty God through his Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, for the saving of your soul from Hell. It's a personal thing! We all must give account, Romans 14:12.
